Therapy Mastiffs

Our Pet Therapy work was done through Therapy Dogs International, and involved our first generation of Mastiffs, particularly Chance, Rion and Aggie.  These dogs made real differences in the lives of many nursing home and hospice patients, along with the nursing staff and administrators of those facilities.  We worked primarily with a Hospice provider in San Antonio called Vitas Healthcare.  We intend to return to active therapy work eventually, but for the time being it is on hold.

This fact does not change the impact our work had on us, and I think the stories are still worth reading.  I wholeheartedly encourage anyone who is interested in helping their dogs make a difference look into the opportunities in your area.  It isn't for everyone, but if it is for you, it is AMAZING...  Read about it!
